The musical does a great job of showing how facts can be misconstrued and lost to time and misunderstandings. Things aren’t always as they seem, and there are two sides to every story. We learn the story of how Glinda (JENNAFER NEWBERRY) and Elphaba (LISSA DEGUZMAN) met at Shiz University, and how the latter would become known as the Wicked Witch of the West. With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman, Wicked brings us back to before Dorothy or Todo ever follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City.
